Review: HX Outdoors TD-09 Bushcraft knife

HX Outdoors TD-09 Bushcraft knife
An inexpensive alternative to the Light My Fire / Mora Fireknife

Similar to the Ligth My Fire Fireknife the TD-09 also has a deachable firesteel in its handle. The firesteel has a bayonet style lock so you have to twist then pull it to release. To its size it produces decent amount of sparks.
The diamond sharpener on the sheath also works fine but you have to be careful with the screws.
Although the blade looks like a scandi grind it's not. That's a pitty because that could boost the slicing performance of the knife. All in all the TD-09 is a good value for the money.

Pros:
- decent fit and finish with good ergonomics
- easy to carry / light weight
- sharp, practical, dual tone finished blade
- unchamfered blade tang for the firesteel
- comfortable plastic handle with rubberized surface
- detachable firesteel in the handle
- plastic sheath with drain holes
- unsheating by one hand
- diamond sharpener on the back of the sheath
- belt loop with "quick release" feature
- adjustable lanyard

Cons:
- a real scandi grind could boost the slicing performance
- the screwheads on the sharpener are slightly protruding
(I recommend removing them and fixing the sharpener on the sheath with glue.)
- although the retention is good the knife makes some rattling noise in the sheath
