DIY - TwoSun TS16 tritium vial mod

Since I had a couple of 6 x 1.5 mm tritium vials laying around I decided to pimp my TS16 so I could find it easier in the dark. ;) As I suspected the biggest slot in the blade is made for to fit a 6x1.5 mm vial perfectly. I took the knife apart because it was easier to mask the blade with masking tape and clean the excess epoxy after applying the tritium vials that way. I cleaned the blade with alcohol and I applied some crystal clear epoxy to fix the vials in the slots. I'm satisfied with the result. What do you think?

You can buy the TwoSun TS16 on Aliexpress:
and the tritium vials in different colors on Aliexpress:

  1. Very Nice!
For some reason, I am the same way, if I see a slot that can accommodate a tritium, I have to put one LOL!
I have put a green one on my MG Tyrant and a blue one on my MG Arctic Fox.
I'll add 2 green ones to this once I get it from Fasttech ;)

    1. Thanks! :)
Can you see any significant difference in brightness between your green and blue ones? As I know the green is the brightest color but I'd like to try the blue ones too.

  2. The green is definitely brighter. For the Arctic fox I went with blue as I though it would match the name better LOL! Also, most of the trits I see are green, so blue is a nice change.

  3. Green lume seems brighter to us because our eyes are made in a way that they can see that wave length the best. Next one is blue, the least bright for our eyes is red. You can test that with a Laser pointer. If you take 2 diodes with the same output you will see green much better than red even though their output in photons is the same.

    1. I can confirm that the red seems quite dim compared to the green, although in pitch dark the red is ok too.
