  1. Jeez that Maxace is nice but expensive. I would have considered it if it was like 300 and didn't have the ugly font on the blade.

    1. They were selling the titanium - CF version for $315. Timascus is a pretty expensive stuff.

  2. Wow, you're fast. Jufule just emailed me the Tuff. Thanks for the update. I just ordered the last Goliath ;)

    1. The Goliath is on my wish list too! I hope I can grab a blue one sooner or later. :)
Meanwhile I will console myself with a Tuff. :))

    2. I really like that Goliath also. K110 is D2 but I think the level of detail and style + titanium accents makes it worth it. Add it to the wishlist...but no new knives for me for a while...I ordered this lovely Loveless drop hunter in DC53 as I've been obsessed with fixed blade knives lately...this will be my poor man's Bark River. That seller has some awesome fixed blades. Should I be skeptical of the steel in a sub-$50 knife? DC53 is a lot like Sleipner, but it appears to be a very common replacement for D2 in industrial applications and at least one source I found said it was $0.40 more per *pound*. Then again I'm thinking that most of the D2 fixed blades are really 9Cr18MoV and DC53 fixed blades are usually $75-$100 for some reason.

    3. That Loveless is sweet! I'd like to have something similar with stacked leather handle like my "Odin".

    4. I haven't seen too many stacked leather handles on decent looking knives. The LiBing Python is the only one that stands out to me. So I ended up in a Taobao rabbit hole looking around at fixed blades. I found just one listing of the Loveless knife I bought and it said it's a special "custom" edition and "out of print". The brand is "Chinese Artisan Square" with that Skull logo you see on some knives from time to time. There are a lot of Bolte and Infiner models and they cost 30-50% less on Taobao compared to Ali/DHGate, but that's before shipping. Anyway, I think I'd like to get a Bolte or Infiner model in the future, or maybe one of those huge 30cm DC53 choppers.

    5. I don't like the blade shape of the LiBing Python and the handle has some kind of shiny clear coat too. I prefer the feel of the natural stacked leather in my hands.
If you want something bigger the DC53 "Odin" won't disappoint you I'm sure! :)

    6. I would be afraid of the leather going bad somehow. I've never had a leather stacked handle knife, maybe I'm just being paranoid. The Odin sure is one of the best replicas I've ever seen.

  3. If it's as good as the Sage 1 clone, you don't have to worry. I think I'll grab one next month. Yup, I'm into Spyderclones again ;)

    1. I may try the Subvert too. :)
The orange would look awesome with acid etched liners.

  4. Yeah, I've noticed that one too. But I'm currently out of knifebudget. I couldn't resist the Tuff and ordered that one too. Thanks alot Isti ;)

  5. Lol...I suspect fit & finish and the steel is better than the older clones. The titanium Para 2 from Jufule has pretty decent steel. I wish they make a Tatanka too.

  6. New District 9 Hurricane is also available. Now that is sweet knife

  7. That LDT kwaiken looks tempting, but for me, I can't trust none of LDT blade steels mentioned. He always has a bunch of knives listed as s35VN for less than $50.... yeah right.....
Don't get me wrong, I don't care for the blade not being S35VN at this price, what I do care however is that it's what's written on the blade.
Write D2, or even 9CR18MOV or nothing and I would probably gotten it, but like this, I just can't or I would have to try to sand it down, the try to stonewash it, etc, etc... Too bad cause it looks like a nice gentlemen EDC.

  8. Oops, just noticed that the Dicoria version is listed as 9CR18MOV (surprise, surprise...) and has no markings on the blade.
In my wishlist it goes :)

    1. I like the "punisher" version too but that one has a smoother handle texture according to the pics.

    2. On 2nd thoughts, I think I'll skip this one.
Looks too similar to the Lovocoo Perfect Lines front flipper that I received this week. Great front flipper btw.

    3. Is the handle wide enough for comfortable opening on the Perfect Lines?

    4. I have no problem opening mine.
If you can open a Zieba G2, you'll have no problem open this one, the handle is a bit wider and thicker (than the SS Zieba)

  9. The Maxace Goliath looks link doesn't work, found it on DHGate.
Looks nice, love the bolster look and blade shape.
Too bad that around this price range I got used (and spoiled) to have better than D2 and G10.
Although, the ones on DHG with white G10 look extremely tempting.
I don't have any knife with white G10.... hummmm.. into the wishlist it goes.
Imagine if instead of white G10 it would have been Ivory Micarta like the Liong Mah GSD Tuxedo!!!! Now that would have been a buy now!

    1. Deks_76 bought the last one so the shop removed the product just like the CF version of the Amber.
White G10 version looks very nice but I'm afraid it stains easily.
