  1. They're not playing it safe with their designs. I must say I like them, especially the bird section (falcon and eagle).

    1. The Jungle and the Littoral along with the small version of the Tomahawk are also tempting for me. Not mentioning the titanium version of the Tomahawk with damascus blade which is awesome. I hope Santa or the Easter Bunny is keeping an eye on my comments here! :))

  2. Talking about "hawkbills". Have you seen the twosun 74 on Ali? Very nice design imo. I just cannot imagine what to use it for lol.

    1. For opening packages arriving from Aliexpress? :))
I've linked them HERE along with the new bada$$ axis-lock NOC MT-04 folders.

  3. That CH 3505R is looking awesome.
Any thoughts on the SRM S721? I'm considering to buy it as a kitchen knife for my wife so she could use the bottle opener to open cans instead of using the tip of our butter knives. I'd like Sandvik steel more though.

    1. What do you think? Is that a sort of dip anodization on the CH3505R?

I don't have the Sanrenmu S721 but I'd prefer something slender as a general kitchen knife like the S731 or the S628. A cheap bottle opener is perfect for loosening the lid of the jars.

    2. My wife likes the design so it's a good excuse to buy another knife. And yes, that's dip anodized. I'm just not sure if the surface is etched after milling or if this pattern is milled in. We would have to see two of the same series beside each other.

  4. They don't ship knives to The Netherlands anymore! Come on! Have you seen the cf Archaeo?

    1. Do you mean GB? It might be a temporary issue.
      Wow! That Archaeo looks awesome!

I also like the G10 version of the Waistline.

  5. I hope so. It's a beauty, isn't it? The Waistline is on my wishlist too (g10 is more grippy for such a slim handle) It's nice this brand offers many "budget" versions of their folders. I'm really really curious. But it's better for my wallet I cannot order at GB the moment. It's recovering from a Recon 1 clip point and a Black Talon 2 (both are awesome. OK, Cold Steel knives are not very subtle, but I like them (and the tri-ad lock of course). Have a nice weekend Isti! Cheers!

    1. Congratulations! :) The Black Talon 2 looks wicked! Which variant of the Recon 1 did you go for?

I also like the tri-ad lock on my Talwar. That's a bada$$ folder too.
The new 2019 AD-10 and AD-15 also look tempting.

  6. I've got the S35vn serrated version. It cuts through thick leather and jeans like butter (tested on old clothes, haven't tested flesh yet lol). It's much nicer and sturdier than the Civilian and I don't even notice it in the front pocket of my jeans. I think the Spyderco serrations are more durable though and definitely easier to sharpen but the CS serrations are nasty and I'm not planning to abuse the BT2. CS switched to s35vn in stead of ctx XHP. I would have liked to try that steel, the reviews were great. But the s35vn Recon 1 is full flat grind and feels more "heavy duty" than the previous hollow grind. I love them both. 2 cts-xhp's are on my wish list: the 4 inch Ti lite g10 and the Frenzy. But they're both a little too pricey (EU) for me at the moment. Same goes for the Talwar. Mostly sold out, aus-8a (it's ok and takes a razor edge, but meh), or too expensive. Also I'm eyeballing a We Streamline in bronze. Maybe it's time for a knife break and wait untill the Artisans are easier to get ;)

    1. I have the AUS-8 version of the Talwar. I'm not worried because I'm planning to encounter max. 4 ninja assassins at a time so I can resharpen it till the next showdown. :))

  7. Wow, that AD10 looks great, reminds me of the Ultimate Hunter. I don't know anything about the scorpion lock so I'm going to look into that soon. Cheers!
