Review: Sanrenmu SRM 9001 & 9002 flippers with ball bearings and 12C27 blade

Sanrenmu SRM 9001 & 9002 flippers
Excellent, EDC friendly flippers with needle sharp tanto tip

Both of them have a nice & smooth flipping action thanks to the ball bearings. Surprisingly the frame-lock version (9002) weights less (only 3.57 oz / 101 g) and it also has a slimmer handle. They are equipped with a secondary safety lock which is convenient to use and it's not in the way. The pocket clip of the liner-lock version (9001) is reversible for lefties.

    1. The linereless 9002 is only available in this fecal color? If it was at least that greenish blue G10 like on that last slim linerlocked Ganzo...

    2. No. You can also buy it in classy black. :)

    3. Oh, I get it, the frame lock has the all-G10 front scale, the liner lock the dual liners. Would be interesting to put the single G10 front scale onto a liner lock version, weight could fall well under 100g.
Not my cup o'tea though ;)

    4. You could regrind the blade to a traditional tanto. :)
Sooner or later I'll give it a try.

    5. You could also make a CF scale for it. I would buy one for sure! :)

    6. First I have to make up my mind if I want to put the 9104 with the CF front scale and the 910+ with the CF scales for sale on eBay. But I'm also not sure if I'll ever make a linereless scale with a recess for ball bearings again. It's too much work on a $20 knife.
