Review: Ganzo Firebird F7621 (FB7621) G10 - the 2nd axis-lock Ganzo with ball bearings

Ganzo Firebird FB7621-BK & Zanflare F3 flashlight
Elegant, EDC friendly full sized folder

After the excellent  FB7601 Ganzo offers the same main features in a slimmed down, more EDC friendly package. This time you get bright colored backspacers instead of blued hardwares. :)

Pros:
- good ergonomics with excellent fit and finish
- eye-appealing elegant design
- very smooth opening and closing thanks to the ball bearings
- it can be flicked open easily
- perfectly centered shaving sharp blade with a nice satin finish
- improved axis-lock with comfortable smooth ended axle
- solid lock-up
- EDC friendly size
- micro fiber pouch

Cons:
- in closed position if you shake the knife the stop pin rattles a bit (a little grease can fix it)

  1. They don't make this one in CF? Hmm, I'd like a smaller version though

Oh, and you didn't mention this deal?

Not my taste though but maybe it will find a good new home ;)

    1. This is the perfect EDC size for me. If you want something smaller you should go for the Kershaw Atmos. :)

Wow! That's an amazing price for the Y-Start LK5012!
I was too weak and I ended up ordering one. :)

    2. You can get the CF version from Aliexpress

    3. So proud, finally I've earned the Enabler badge.
And well, I like the size of the F753M1 but I also like my Vespa Neon or the 910 series. The knife that I really use the most is the Malyshev Gnome on job since I turned it into a slicer. Interesting how useful such a small knife can be.

    4. :))
This Y-Start has been sitting on my wish list for a while.

      CF version on Aliexpress.

    5. Thank you. This saves me from buying one to make cf scales for it.
Enough with the SRM 910+ and 9104 ;)

    6. And by the way, imho a yellow backspacer would match better with the black scales.

    7. Have you tried to sell your CF mods on eBay yet?

    8. Well, I've made a draft but I still have to look after the correct legal phrases for selling "used" stuff without warranty.
Of course I'd be there for anyone who has a problem with it, but I'm not a professional seller who just has to take another piece out of a box for returns.
Also making the CF clip for the 910+ was more interesting than this ebay stuff. I just more like to do something with my hands and I'm simply not a salesperson.
It's cool what you do here, maybe you can even finance your new toys with it, for me it's too much PC work ;)

  2. I have not bought a single knife for over a year now. I have been fighting my addiction. Thanks to Isti and Endre Sutus I fell off the wagon. I liked the new Ganzo and found the CF version from Ali.. And did not buy it. Then I saw the insane deal for the LK5012 and bought it and the CF Ganzo. Over a year down the drain, but at least I'm gonna get new KNIVES!

    1. Wow! One year is a long time! I should take a brake too but I'm afraid I would start buying watches, flashlights or pens. :)

That Y-Start is an awesome deal for that price. So your lapse is forgivable. :)

  3. I actually found 2 gold rings last week while metal detecting a few lakes. Both were over 50 years old and 18 carat gold. Combined weight was over 18 grams so thats over 500€ in junk gold. This was a good way to celebrate ;) Been buying metal detecting stuff and fishing stuff instead of knives.. If you take a break on buying something, you always substitute it with something else.

    1. That was a good catch!
If you spend your money on stuffs which inspire you to move outdoors that's always well spent.

    2. Hear hear. On the other hand; thanks to Isti two Convoys s2+ (regular & UV) are on their way. I always thought 1 flashlight (I have a nitecore SRT7) was enough...Well, still much better than spending money on stuff you shove in your nose ;)

    3. True. I have the S2+ UV. You can make every bathroom REALLY DISGUSTING with that.. Only thing people should shove in their nose is a finger. It's free!

  4. That's why I ordered the UV...to check my fingernails first ;) But seriously, it's a nice gadget. And I was looking for a compact budgetlight for my backpack. The reviews don't lie, I hope.

    1. I also have a couple of the regular Convoy S2+ lights in different tint/color temperature. I'm satisfied with them.
