DIY: Spyderco ROC handle mod

Spyderco ROC copy handle mod
My modded ROC (black) with the standard orange one

Have look at my full review about the Spydero ROC clone: ***HERE***
You can buy the ROC copy on Aliexpress: ***HERE***

I couldn't resist and I modded the handle of my black ROC forming a sort of finger choil
in order to have a better grip on it. I also rounded the sharp corner of the lock-bar.

Here is the result:

The rest of the project is undocumented for two main reasons:
- it was getting dark,
- I was getting hungry. :)

  1. Wow...
You're really getting into the mod game, Isti... I guess that non to long into the future you'll start anodizing. Then grinding blades out of old metal pieces will come, and in two or three years you'll be a knife maker, maybe even a recognized one, exposing at SHOT or things like that!

Great job anyway on that ROC!

    1. Sure and I'll reach the peak of my career when the Chinese start to copy my knives! :))

      Thank you!

  2. The knife is heavy for his size. Do you have the Ganzo cleaver to compare?

    1. Yes, I'm planning to take photos at the weekend if the weather permits. I'm not keen on taking photos outside when it's below zero. :)

The Ganzo cleaver has a full flat ground blade and thinner liners. That's the reason for the weight difference (139 g vs. 119 g).
