  1. The LiBing 3 is mightily sexy... But I've ordered too many knives just now... And it's a bit costly, as well. Plus I'm not sure of how to maintain the edge on a scandi grind... on a M390 blade!!

    1. I'm quite tempted to order the LiBing. I've just found a better price for it HERE.

These anniversary sales are always a challenge for me because I could spend $800 - $1000 on knives under 5 min easily. :))

      What knives did you order?
I'm planning to grab a small titanium CH3504 and a large G10 one. I'm also eyeing with this titanium-CF folder. Do you still like yours?
I also have a bunch of knives in the mail. I guess I'm totally hopeless... :))

    2. I'd like that one with D2 or SRMs Sandvik or the like.

    3. I'd buy the LiBing with S35VN for $100 in a heart beat. :)
Finially I can see some sort of innovation in blade grinds.

    4. Weak as I'm, I've fallen for the libing... at an even cheaper price, HERE... In blue.

The other knives I've bought for this anniversary sale are the "harmonious" kwaiken and the clone of the Benchmade 761

    5. Great! Now it's even harder for me to resist! :)

In exchange I linked a couple of new TwoSun folders for you! ;)
The new TS42, TS69 and the TS85 look awesome.

    6. Thanks... I'm particularly interested in the TS58r. A small but not so small non locking "friction" folder, with titanium and good steel? Me like! At the full price it's a bit dear for me, but who knows later on! The TS69 and TS85 also look great, but less "special" maybe, so I thing (never say never again... ) I'll be able to resist ;)

    7. These new TwoSuns seem more refined with a much better, uncluttered aesthetic design. The previous models looked too much for me. I mean they had good design elements but adding too many of them to a single model ruined the overall aesthetic of the folder. In one sentence: sometimes less is more.

    8. I totally agree with you about the Twosun designs, Isti. I have the recent TS76 with G10 show side and titanium lock side. It's nice and compact but with a pretty good sized blade. It has some nice design elements but it doesn't sacrifice ergonomics and usefulness for aesthetics. The TS69 also looks like something one could actually use. In fact they seem to have redone the Wong Design TS59 with a "convex" handle. I'm not sure if it's because the original looked a lot like the CRKT Crossbones or they just realized that it might feel better in the hand with convex handle. In either case I'm seeing a lot more desirable designs on their Instagram which means I'll probably need to sell off a lot of the older models I've collected.

  2. Turen Spaceship w/S35VN is $63...HERE

    1. I like the green one. I think the weight is wrong because 120g is too much for such a small titanium folder.

    2. I bought the green one, I like that antique finish. I have a Bear Claw SSE in a similar color and it looks great. I found Turen's original listing for the knife (regular $150 on sale also $63) and it says 59g.

    3. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a pocket clip.

    4. Yeah, that is a bit strange. It's pretty small and light so maybe I'll just stick it in the pocket or figure out some sort of lanyard/suspension clip deal.

    1. The Flying Shark is really a great knife. The blue/gold one that I have is gorgeous and fluid like almost nothing I've ever experienced, full on customs included!

    2. That's good to hear, I've just ordered one. :)

    3. Me too. Also the blue one. I'm really curious. If it's as good as the piston, I'm happy. 155 grams is just ok with me

    4. I consider the D2 version of the Piston my best surprise in 2017. :)

    5. It's perfect. Great fit and finish, action and I love the disappearing flipper tab.

    6. To me the Flying Shark is better than my Piston (the original s35vn version)... Even better action, perfect finish, the ano job is stellar, too... not "in your face", subtle, but really great!

  4. What would you say the best edc oft is on the chines sites?

    1. It depends on the price range.

      Around $50:
I like my 2018 year UTX85. The overall fit & finish is surprisingly good. I'd like to try the D2 version of the Cypher ($65) too.

      Around $150 - $160:
The Vespa Combat Troodon or the Vespa Cypher.

The Andy made Horizon OTFs have pretty good feedbacks too. I don't know how they compare to the Vespas.

    2. There is a guy on YouTube called PurpleEDC Reviews. He is sort of a rep. for ChinaHighEndEDC and has good reviews on the new Vespa OTFs. He also has some reviews on the higher end Andy/Horizon OTFs.
Andy put out a new small DE otf called the Sentry that gets good reviews on DHG. He also put out a premium model called the Punisher which has a couple YouTube reviews.
If you're adventurous the D2 Cypher Clone is available for $53 on DHG. I'm probably going to get one after I cull the herd of knives I want to let go of. If it's as good as the Scarab Executive and UTX-85 I got I'll be pleased.

  5. Those discounts hurt my wallet. Again. Nobody ordered a Kizer yet? I've got a Megarethum and Kane with crazy discount on the 11.11 sale. Awesome brand I must say. Now I'm waiting for the Kizer Quicksilver, TS27 G10 Jade, Flying Shark and, finally, the Venom 2 m390.

    1. The Quicksilver looks interesting! After eyeing the Critical for a while I decided to wait for the new Matanzas flippers. I'm not keen on EDCing heavy folders...

    2. I ordered a T1 from Ali about a month ago and it's pretty sweet. The Kizer store has big sales quite often. I'm waiting on the Kizer Basalt to be released and there is also a new Vanguard knife for 2018 that looks like a larger Begleiter that looks very interesting.

  6. Yeah, that's a classy folder indeed. Especially the one with those Mnandi rosewood like scales. The recurve and overall design of the Quicksilver reminds me a bit of the Yon Xanadu 650, which I really like.
