Because of a new stupid rule of Aliexpress the sellers are forced to photoshop the locking mechanism on the folders. So don't worry this folder comes with a solid frame-lock!

  1. Arghhh.
I'm happy to see this one surface (I was waiting for it ever since ZT presented the original, even thinking about getting the genuine article)... But I've got five knives "in the mail" already so maybe I should wait on this one.

  2. And eventually, I did order without waiting...
Well, it has to be the last knife until this summer! at least!

    1. I couldn't resist either and I said the same myself! :))

    2. Great minds think alike... And man, was that one appealing!

    3. :))
If only it would come with a fancier pocketclip!

  3. It's a nice knife if you are into that heavily modified sheepfoot blade with the huge "harpoon". Comfy handle, OKish blade to handle ratio, rather light for its size. The blade felt ridiculously hard when grinding, whereas all my "S35VN"-marked Chinese blades and the lower end Chinese CR..MOV.. and higher end Japanese carbon steels (kitchen knives) are a walk in the park.

However, the pocket clip sucks. It looks crappy and and the knife rides way too high in the pocket. I just can't find an European or Ali source for replacement clips (shipping from the US costs usually close to what a clip itself would) - any idea for that?

There is one design flaw I'd like to mention. The detent ball is placed in a way that when opening the knife the lock bar will move a bit with the blade (in the plane that the blade rotates in). Not sure if that could cause damage, but it does cause a strange feel when opening the knife - the blade tip would move 3 or 4 mm before overcoming the detent and being released. Also the whole knife is rather loud, making a slightly rattling noise when closing. Of course, this all depends on lock bar tension.

    1. I have no idea why ZT insists to use this style of pocket clips. Even the ZT 0392 comes with almost the same one...

Mine doesn't have that "detent play".
