  1. Can you tell me (or do you have a comparison shot) of this knife and the axis RAT clone compared to an Ontario RAT 2? I don't like much bigger blades but this SpyderGanzo is looking interesting, especially if the FFG is ground to a thin edge like on the spydeys...

    1. As soon as mine arrives! :)
At the moment I can only compare the RAT2 and the G727M.

    2. So how are the 2 compared size-wise? I like the rather thin blade stock on the RAT 2 and the size is enough for my needs, esp. when I hold it short to use the tip of the blade.
Actually I'd get another RAT 2 if they would update the steel to VG-10 at least...

  2. Thank you very much. I guess I'll pass on that and hope that they maybe release a smaller version.
But keep the hopes low as Ganzo knives tend to be this size.
How about heavyness? The RAT would win already from skelletonized liners and my Ganzo G-717 with it's fat liners is darn heavy, is it the same with the 727?

    1. The G727 weights 131 g and the G717 weights 154 g. The G727 also has a slimmer design (handle thickness 13 mm vs. 17 mm).

  3. Hmm, difficult decision as always :P
But I guess I'll try the SpyderGanzo someday, I really liked the Ganzo G-712 that I modded for an edcf member so the quality on the 3 Ganzos I've handles was pretty good and their AXIS is way better than the SRM/Enlan version which just bites my fingers...

I did order just yesterday the digicamo version...

    1. I'm afraid your axis-lock version will feel lonely without the liner-lock one (G730)! ;))

    2. Well, with some exceptions, I'm way more of a frame lock or axis lock guy... I'm a bit afraid of liner locks since I manage to pinch badly a finger between liner and outer scale of one, a few years ago.

  5. Debate: I have the G7291-BK. Should I get the G730 liner-lock version? I don't know, maybe at some point. But I sort of new with my knife collection so I may have some knife priorities ahead of another "Paramilitary".

  6. Not a bad idea. I don't care much for the G734 blade shape. The G732 looks more promising though. It is noticeably larger than the G729-BK and would be my largest knife. Longer even than my G720 and G722. Not that that would be a problem. Thanks for the recommendation.
