  1. Awesome, really looking forward to the review on this one. Was going to order some knives today but maybe will hold off until I hear more about this.

    1. The ergonomics is very good, it fits my hand as a glove.
I hope the weather'll get better and I can snap a couple of decent outdoor pics soon.

    2. The only thing scaring me off is that proprietary pivot screw.

    3. They sell a special tool/bit for that screw. I'll post pics when I receive mine.

  2. I ordered the plain model, not sure I made the right choice!

    1. You can "tiger stripe" it any day with a flame torch / jet lighter. :)

  3. Hey Isti, this knife is a clone?

    http://www.shirogorov.com/forums/announcements/novosti/107/

I'm not the morality police or anything, I just ordered the $25.00 Spyderco Southard clone from Y-Start trading.

Just curious if you knew that this was a knock off. It took me a bit of research to find the original as it's not in english.

I would still likely buy it as I'm not really the sort to spend very much on a knife and this is very beautiful. Not really a lost sale for the original as I would never have bought something like that.

Wish it had that blue pocket clip though.

    1. Hi,

You can't say it's a clone because it's not an exact copy.
The knife is sterile it comes without any branding or logo. The blade shape, backspacer, lockbar limiter and the pocket clip is different too.
I'd say it's heavily inspired by that Shirogorov model.

    2. That's a good point, I suppose you're right.

The description does reference the knife builder and clearly says that it is meant to capture the spirit of their design. I feel like it's somewhere between something like a Ganzo G-710 (inspired by benchmade rift, never references benchmade in product descriptions) and a full on forgery like the spyderco I just ordered from Y-start which claims to be the real deal and could confuse the casual buyer.

  4. I have the knife for a week now. Action is smooth, lock is solid. Exelent knife for the money.
