Enlan EL04 micarta handle

Pros:
- sturdy folder with an excellent fit and finish
nice, sculptured micarta handle
- attractive blade shape with a nice satin finish (Benchmade Ritter Griptilian style)
- smooth opening and closing (the axis lock is smoother than on the EL02's)

Cons:
- you need a special tool or round nose pliers to adjust the pivot

  4. Hi! Which would be better for the same price, this knife or the Ganzo 710?

  5. Hi
I like both of them, especially the G10 version of the EL04 (the micarta version is not as sleek as the G10 one because of the sculpted micarta handle). The cutting performance of the EL04 is slightly better than the Ganzo 710. I think for every day carry I would choose the EL04 G10. If the size and weight doesn't matter choose the Ganzo.

  6. And can you tell me which steel holds an edge better?

  7. I can't find any significant difference between the two steels (8Cr13MoV vs. 440C).

  8. Oh all right, thank you for the information!

  9. I just ordered one. It will be my first non-Ganzo axis lock knife. Curious to see how smooth it will be.

    1. It's a fine folder for the money (good ergonomics, practical blade shape) although the axis-lock feels stiffer than the Ganzos.
