Enlan EL04 G10 handle

A Benchmade Ritter Griptilian with a Spyderco Manix handle. ;)

Pros:
- slim and sturdy folder with an excellent fit and finish
nice, grippy, ergonomic G10 handle
- attractive blade shape with a nice satin finish
- smooth opening and closing (the axis lock is smoother than on the EL02's)

Cons:
- you need a special tool or round nose pliers to adjust the pivot

  1. You mentioned on one of the forums that you preferred the G10 over the Micarta for the slim-ness. How would to compare this one overall with the EL-02? Is the AXIS lock softer?

  2. Definitely. The axis lock on the EL04 is more comfortable to operate. Another plus is the EL04's bladeshape. It's very similar to the well-known Benchmade Ritter Griptilian's blade.

  4. I love the Enlan el-02b, but the Enlan el-04 g10 is one of my all time favorite knives. Great size, beautiful looks, awesome slicer. Love the similarity to the Ritter Griptilian blade. I just realized the other day that the handle is identical to the Spyderco Manix 2. What a combo! The Ritter-Manix!

  6. I have the micarta version and while a little on the heavy side it is a beautiful fast opening and a sturdy knife. The build quality is good with a sturdy lockup. The scales are truly a work of art and feel good in hand. I imagine the G10 version to be slimmer and less likely to print with equal build quality but for me it's the micarta all the way

  7. Thanks for the review, great call on Ritter-Manix look :)
I ordered 2 of them at this price point - beats loosing a nice Benchmade or Spide.

Thanks for the links as well.

    All the best!

    1. Hi,
      Which version did you order?
My personal favourite is the G10 version with the thinner handle scales.
